Do vegans wear pearls?
So as I was taking a shower today I noticed my body wash said it contained "pearl powder" and it made me think of the ground-up bits of coral that are in mineral masks. Coral is a living animal, can vegans use products that contain reef bits? Most of the reef I would think is ground up is dead and just a limestone backbone that contains skeletons of other sea creatures, so I don't know how the non-solicitation of animal rule works here. Also, as in the question line, pearls are made of sand and mucus, but they are still products of an animal; even though the bivalve does not want to make the item themselves. I have guttate psoriasis. Just wondering if there are certain minerals that skin “needs” to repair itself.
This is a first occurrence for me, and somewhat devastating, because I didn't expect it at the age of 21! I have a very natural approach to most things in life. I know that lots of sunshine & "coal tar" (eww), are supposed to help with psoriasis. I've been using everything oatmeal lately (including oatmeal soaks), to keep my skin soft, and it IS helping with the psoriasis. My question to you, is if there are special "soaks" for people with psoriasis. I've heard that dead sea salt soaks are good, but don't they dry out your skin even more? Are there certain vitamins/minerals that are more geared towards repairing skin cells/ keeping skin supple?

I require help, I want better skin.?
So, I suffer from moderate Acne, and I also have quite a few scars on my face which make it look even worse. My skin is rather pale as well, so in the light of day I truly look terrible, it is without a doubt the absolute worst thing to have. It affects my self-esteem so much, I just want to like how I look... I've tried some things like Proactive, Murad products, even this Dead Sea mud that supposedly has a lot of minerals that help the skin, but nothing seems to help. I also have a mild amount of body acne, on my arms and chest. Just a few bumps here and there, but it's still irritating.
